Backlash-free jaw couplings

KTR ROTEX GS couplings are pre-stressed backlash-free jaw couplings with elastomer spiders under compression. Aluminium hubs cover sizes 5 to 38; steel hubs cover sizes 42 to 90 in the standard catalogue range.

Selection guidance

Choosing a GS size

  1. Define shaft bore, nominal torque duty and maximum operating speed.
  2. Compare outside diameter and overall length against machine envelope constraints.
  3. Select spider hardness for temperature, damping and stiffness requirements using the spider reference table.
  4. Confirm misalignment limits against duty speed and selected spider where catalogue data is stated.
  5. Open the size PDP for catalogue dimensions before sending an engineering enquiry.
